Grüner Veltliner (grew-ner felt-lee-ner) is most widely grown in Austria, and is similar profile to Riesling on the nose and palate but with much more texture. Boat O’Craigo Grüner is grown on the the cool climate site at Healesville. The wine begins with aromas of citrus, green apple and spice. The palate has moorish texture, grapefruit and fleshy stone fruit, and a clean fresh finish.

Our winery’s distinctive name echoes that given to a farm in the town of Craigo in Scotland. Where our ancestors settled alongside the docking point for the ferry that crossed the North Esk River. The Boat O’Craigo name and tradition have drifted across seas to settle and book-end Victoria’s burgeoning Yarra Valley with two magnificent vineyards, one in Healesville and the other in Kangaroo Ground. One red, the other white.
