Chambers Durif

Deep red and purple colour with fragrances of violet and plum with ahint of vanilla notes from the use of French oak. The palate has soft and supple tannins which compliment the vibrant fruit characters of the wine. A well-structured wine with generosity of flavour. Approachable to drink now but will continue to be enjoyed through to the year 2032

About The Winery

The unpretentious public face of this small family winery belies the fact that they produce some of the richest and most acclaimed wines in the world. Since arriving in Rutherglen, north eastern Victoria, six generations ago, the family has quietly gone about establishing a particularly enviable reputation for their fortified wines. Stephen Chambers is now making his own mark after taking over the winemaking role from his legendary father Bill Chambers OAM.

In 2019 their Old Vine Muscadelle received gold and the trophy for Best Commercial Muscadelle. Their Rutherglen Muscadelle received gold in the same Best Commercial Muscadelle category.
