Golden in colour with crème brulee, orange blossom and lemon curd aromas. These are reflected on the palate to create a wine which shows great balance between the botrytis derived sweetness and acid, showing drive and a lingering clean finish.
“Golden yellow; a very attractive, very well made wine; luscious yellow fruit is balanced by acidity and the botrytis cut; good length.” Halliday Wine Companion
The unpretentious public face of this small family winery belies the fact that they produce some of the richest and most acclaimed wines in the world. Since arriving in Rutherglen, north eastern Victoria, six generations ago, the family has quietly gone about establishing a particularly enviable reputation for their fortified wines. Stephen Chambers is now making his own mark after taking over the winemaking role from his legendary father Bill Chambers OAM.
In 2019 their Old Vine Muscadelle received gold and the trophy for Best Commercial Muscadelle. Their Rutherglen Muscadelle received gold in the same Best Commercial Muscadelle category.
