Clyde Park Wines Estate Pinot Gris

Sourced from some of the oldest Pinot Gris vines in Victoria, planted 1996, the fruit gives depth and palate weight to the final wine. The wine was fermented at 15 degrees to enhance aromatics and older oak was used to add texture and complexity. The wine remained in barrel for 3 months and was stirred monthly.
Delicate, ever so slightly rose in colour. The aromas are of spiced pears with a hint of lemongrass. The beautifully crafted mid palate provides generosity of primary fruits that tapers to a crunchy vivacious finish.

About The Winery

Clyde Park Vineyard was established in 1979 when the varieties of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir were planted on the property.Further plantings since have increased the vineyard to 35 acres, expanding the original Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and adding Shiraz, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Gris. In all we have 7 clones of Pinot Noir, 6 clones of Chardonnay, 2 clones of Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc and a sole clone of Pinot Gris.

The Jongebloed family have owned Clyde Park since 1996 and have concentrated on developing premium quality cool climate wines, which today are sold across Australia and recently have begun to export. They are proud to be a James Halliday 5 star rated vineyard for a number of years, and their wines have won numerous awards.
