Matured in French oak puncheons for 11 months. Semi translucent bright red core with black shaded edges and a light crimson red hue. Fragrant aromas of red cherries, violets, winter strawberries and clove fill the nostrils. Gentle forest floor and spiced dried meat notes also chime in. Light in body, vibrant red cherry and strawberry fruits decorate the palate underscored by forest floor, subtle dried herbs and spicy cedar. Supple mid palate feel with polished tannins, energetic acidity and an elegant yet quite moreish conclusion. Drink over the next 6-8 years.

The wines are sourced from low yielding, single vineyard sites located in Merricks North and Shoreham with an emphasis on making wines of purity that express these sites and reflect the season in which they are grown. The cool maritime climate of the Mornington Peninsula helps maintain moderate temperature throughout its growing seasons, creating optimal physiological ripening of the regions signature varieties
